Without giving up what's behing curtain #1, I need to carve plates for two archtops. One highly curly and one with no curl needed at all (it's going to receive an opaque paint job). So, who's got lumber for such a project? I'd like to throw business to the sponsers here if I can.
While I'm at it, I need sitka blanks too.

I don't have any (oh surprise) but I have seen Jason's stuff and he has all sorts of maple and sitka stuff. I'm sure he could give you what you need. Hopfully he'll see this.

It aint sitka but Shane N has the Lutz spruce which I'm in love with. The
stuff is really light in weight, and really stiff. Hard to beat that!

Paul, just a thought if one of your archtops will be getting an opaque finish have you thought of getting a pre-arched laminated plate?

Will you be building them with the pick-ups cut on or floating? Have you built archtops before?

Paul - if none of the sponsors chime in with curly maple -- I'll provide you with a couple of names of suppliers I've purchased from.Anthony Z38740.8218402778

I sent Jason a PM but haven't heard back.
Anthony, Laminated plates aren't an option. these will be show guitars so I can't skimp.
Two cut in pickups.
I'd love to have a few supplies if you want to pm me or email me. Thanks. P

I just cut this bad boy today. Euro maple. I cut custom on order only and it's sold. I have a photo in the Wood Shed of my European maple. I also have some plain quartersawn Euro maple so it depends on the quality of maple you want under the paint. If interested send me an email, Paul. (this photo sucks)

Paul, I PM'd you. (BTW: I received my Guitarmaker over the holidays and just loved your flattop)

Larry -- maybe not the best picture but I see a nice consistent flame -- nice looking billet!

Just a personal thing, but after finely carving, bracing and tuning a top -- to cut in pick-ups makes me cringe. (sorry just my turrets kick'n in again and appreciate its for a customer)

I can understand this but they won't be true jazz archtops. Think Gretsch Falcon.

Those were laminated...and now for a shameless plug:

Jamie Uniden from Guitar Plans Unlimited posted this file on his site for me.

p.s. How about a curly Koa laminated archtop?

Is it double or single cutaway?

Jason, do you currently have backs with strong curl for archtops (the one
pictured on your website would do nicely)? Email or PM me, please.

Jason -- I have visited your site a number of times and it says something to the effect of "not currently available". If you've got archtop wood -- it wouldn't hurt to update your site. (I've recently ordered a couple of maple billets and would have prefered to try OLF sponsors first).
